Vroom Vroom!!!

(ERP ahead, remember to plug in your cashcard.)
(*BEEP* kaninah.....*&$%*r$)

Vroom Vroom~
and there goes my sorrow and grief from the week~!
even though im still sore about the paralympic thingy, well what are they trying to proof now by showing the 5 minute clip of golden girl's winning moments??
anyway, back to Singapore's first F1 race
(as well as the usual first to follow. you know la, the night race, city circuit, under-grand-stand-unique-drivethru, etc etc etc......blah blah blah)

haiya.... some things are really unpredictable...
SingaporeGP Results
Well, Alonso, Congrats to your 20th WIN~!! wohoo!!
Coulthard, Massa, better luck next time, its a really good show u put up today~
Hamilton, Wa~
Nakajima, がんばってね~ 良いのraceですね~

featuring my brother, talk and dream rubbish......
GuanHeng Ang, "hello. i very fast. i almost 1st. did you see me!? my team put my spoiler upside down. it turned into a pair of wings on my ass. i flew. i heard the other drivers say "oooooohhh" before i landed on the singapore flyer. nice view. could have been 1st. check me out at www.iflewinsingaporef1race.com"
(disclaimer: not i say one ar~)

kinda regret not getting my hands on the tickets to watch... the sound of the mean macines just make my hair stand~ MMmmm~~ :p
BUT then again, its better when you have the psyched up commentators giving you the deep downs on the game. especially when im a noobie and well, i refuse to learn la hor~
and on TV, you get all the best view while seated comfortable at home with Ben&Jerry's chocolate brownie clad in my baggy-tee and shorts haha~

kudos to the team, the drivers and not forgetting the volunteers, the staffs working OT and the organiser too~ norbel, 辛苦你了~ :)

a zero makes all the difference

ive been meaning to grumble my piece for a damn long time
toying with the keys to type something mean and nasty about the SSC...
but being me, i let myself get carried away grumbling on the way home to my poor subjects on 153, complain to my mother who just sits there helpless.

the sports arena in Singapore has been overcasted with lots of questions, inappropriate actions and behaviour, debate over many many topics which are far too sensitive for my blog...
im not as competent as Mr Brown or any other local bloggers you see~

anyway back to the darlins. our heroine.
i grumbled..
at first, it was like: why are they not given the same amount of focus as the olympics? why is it that the coverage of the newspaper not as big a spread?? what happen to the hype, the excitement, the importance that lead to the rescheduling of national day rally during olympics??
why is the attitude so different?!

and den it was: why nobody knows? nobody knows that paralympics existed?!!

and finally it was like: WTH?! only SGD$100,000.00?????

hello? are we blind or stupid for goodness sake??
the SILVER girls from table-tennis are like SGD$750,000.00 richer when they won.
our GOLD darlin only got SGD$100,000.00?!
okay so you argue that the SGD$750,000.00 is split between the trio.
so that makes SGD$250,000.00, sorry still SGD$150,000.00 more lor...

if you dont know how much the athletes are awarded. heres the link.
http://www.singaporeathletics.com/singapore-news/rewards-system-for-athletes
and mind you, paralympics isnt listed AT ALL. alamak!!! did they forget, miss out or what?

so allow me to be fair,
an olympic gold medalist will get SGD$1million

SGD$1,000,000.00 - SGD$100,000.00 = SGD$900,000.00

paralympic GOLD medalist get SGD$900,000.00 LESS.
if the number of zeros are making you dizzy...

SGD$100,000.00 = 0.1
SGD$1,000,000.00

paralympic GOLD medalist get ONLY 10% of what the abled athletes get if they win gold at olympics. which paralympics happens to be of the same weightage my dear friends.

dont you think that our paralympic team need the money more for their training, and long-term medical care?? dont you think that this money is really more precious to them then us who are ABLED??

dont you also think and feel that the media attention, the excited squeals and screams would be a rather different but easy way of showing these people that we care.
dont you think that it would be an overwhelming support and encouragement to them?
they are human too you know. they need support to affirm their performance such that they would be spurred to perform better.

hello? already they didnt get the attention which i felt they deserved.
and even worse, they are given DIFFERENTIAL treatment!!
what happen "to to build a democratic societybased on justice and equality"
what happen to the primary school treat everyone equally preaching?

how can a democratic society who can afford to shower SILVER team medalist from the olympics be awarded with SGD$750,000.00 while the GOLD medalist from the paralympics be awarded a miserable SGD$100,000.00?
paralympic is still olympics. so the monnie should be the SAME. isnt it??

i never realise the importance of decimal points and zeros until now...

i applaude NMP Eunice Olsen for her contribution. finally a babe with brains.
private sector, community... so its our fault lar?! U win le lor~!!
already i think its funny that coaches should pay the Usage Permit and yet pay to enter the facility to coach.....
and now the sponsors for both events are different? and the importance different?
and even better, the government doesnt show a sincere and actual effort to embrace our LOCAL players who are winners on the international stage. they are the locals who brought Singapore all the way up. the ultimate glory. the stage where Singapore anthem is played for the world to hear.

so please, rethink your actions. rethink your priority.
not everything is about money. some things are just more precious.
priceless is the word. and they are LOCAL. our pride.
